Jobs list slow to respond and choppy while editing in configuration

Gumburcules — Fri, 12/05/2008 - 16:59

Hello,

I am a contractor and I list my "employers" as clients and then I list the jobs I am doing for each as clients. I currently have 43 jobs stored, and the list is very laggy and slow to respond if I try to make any changes to the names or remove a job from the list.

On the contrary, while adding information to a timer, all of the fields respond quickly and smoothly. I don't want to have to delete jobs as many are return service calls and it is much easier to leave the name of the job so I don't have to enter it each time.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is this a "bug"? Anything I can do?

PS. I am looking forward to the next update and hope for a "Rate" category, I find this program to be very useful indeed and I thank you for your efforts.

Thanks in advance!

RE: Jobs list slow to respond and choppy while editing in config

costmo — Mon, 07/06/2009 - 10:42

Hello, and thank you for the feedback.

The lag in that screen has to do with memory and resource management (which is limited) on the device. We will examine the current methods to see if it can be made more efficient for longer lists of jobs.

The update that we are working to release today or tomorrow is a maintenance release and won't include rates, but we plan to include that with the "pause timer" feature in the 2.0 update (or soon thereafter), which is currently in development.

Thanks again, and please let us know if you have other questions or if we can be of further assistance.
